Case of Acute Urticaria

Case of Acute Urticaria

From The Desk of Dr K S Vijayakumar,SHS User. Kerala.

ONSET DURATION PROGRESS

A 1 Year old child reported to Dr Vijaykumar with complaints of sudden puffiness of the right eye and inability to open the eyes.

acute-urticaria

With a speedy case taking he found that there was no other characteristic symptom in the case.

Without a second thought, he immediately opened his SHS and made a Quick Search

The Search String that Dr Vijayakumar used in SHS –

Acute3inflammation3lids3sacREMLids3hardly3open

Acute3inflammation3lids3sacREMLids3hardly3open

( He typed Acute then the Number 3 then inflammation then number 3 then lids and number 3 sac and then hit the space bar 5 times for same remedy connector to be displayed and then lids number 3 hardly number 3 open.)*

*Dr Vijay choose both lid and sac because anatomically both seemed to be involved.

Only a Single Remedy was coming up in the Result. The Remedy was Aconite.

If you take your cursor over the reference string and press the cursor once, it will open a small pop up with the mention of the reference of aconite for the symptom that is searched –

Similarly you can click on each sentence and the pop up for each sentence will open up.

If you press the cursor two times on the reference string , the remedy opens up in the book where the reference is mentioned –

The First Symptom for Aconite is mentioned in Norton Opthalmic Diseases

The second Symptom for aconite is mentioned in Hering Guiding Symptoms –

Thus Dr Vijayakumar Decided to give Aconite 30 , every 2 hourly…

The result was miraculous within 24 hours–
